Jewish Family Service of Atlantic County (JFS) - Mental Health Services provides supportive outreach services to individuals with psychiatric disabilities who have not been able to use office-based mental health services. Counseling, group activities, self-help skills, advocacy, medical referrals, psychiatric evaluation, and treatment are included. Specific programs include 1) Integrated Case Management Services: outreach available for all individuals leaving Ancora as well as some other mental health consumers; 2) Project New Chance: outreach to elderly individuals with psychiatric disabilities on Absecon Island; 3) Homeless Case Management: outreach and support to homeless individuals with psychiatric disabilities; 4) Home Intervention Program: in-home services to parents with psychiatric disabilities to help them manage their illness and build parenting skills; 5) Residential Support Services: assistance to individuals on Absecon Island who have psychiatric issues and need support to sustain housing; 6)TANF/GA Case Management: Located in the Atlantic County Office Building in Atlantic City, staff in this program provide mental health service coordination to individuals with psychiatric issues who are trying to move from welfare to work.
