Fathers’ Care Network (FCN) is a program designed to assist fathers in strengthening their role in the lives of their children. The Fathers’ Care Network is a collaboration among several social service organizations within Atlantic County. Each agency offers unique insight and expertise into the needs of fathers and their families. As the lead agency, The Women’s Center has partnered with Youth Advocate Program (YAP), Career Opportunity Development Inc. (CODI), Girl Scouts of Central and Southern NJ Inc., Atlantic County Justice Facility, and the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Office. The goals of the Fathers’ Care Network are to increase family self-sufficiency and enhance child and family well-being in Atlantic County. This will be accomplished by providing services that enable fathers to improve their relationships and reconnect with their children. Fathers’ Care Network provides fathers with safe and accessible visitation sites located throughout the County. Fathers who have lost contact with their children will also receive the support of reunification services. The Fathers’ Care Network promotes healthy communication between fathers and their co-parents. To support this effort FCN will provide trainings around parenting, communication, and healthy relationships. FCN will assist fathers with job readiness, resume writing, skill assessments, financial literacy, and job placement.
