The museum contains over 7,000 items of Martin Luther King, Jr. memorabilia and other items of the civil rights movement, the African American portrayal in advertising, African American artwork, and local African American history. A collection called "African American Heritage Traveling Museum" is available for schools and organizations in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Please call ahead for group tours. They have rotating displays at the Garden Pier Art Center on the Atlantic City Boardwalk.
