This is also an opportunity to network with those starting needed new groups, and they offer free materials and workshops on group development. The Self Help Clearinghouse provides a directory of self-help resources. Services include: free consultation and training services for starting groups, updating database of 4,500 group meetings within the state, over 1,100 national headquarters, online groups and demonstration models, 500 helplines/hotlines, 12,000 calls yearly.
